THIRD MEETING OF THE PROGRAMME COUNCIL OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY FOR PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

7 July 2026

The National Academy for Public Administration hosted the third meeting of its Programme Council, during which key issues related to the preparation of the 2027 Professional Development Programme were discussed.

The Director of the National Academy for Public Administration, Marina Dražić, welcomed the participants and presented an overview of the Academy’s key achievements, ongoing activities and strategic priorities, with particular emphasis on improving the professional development system, enhancing quality, strengthening cooperation with institutions, and designing programmes that meet the needs of a modern public administration.

Following the adoption of the minutes from the previous meeting, members of the Programme Council reviewed the Draft Report of the National Academy for Public Administration on the assessment of professional development needs of public administration employees for 2027. Particular attention was given to the results of the training needs assessment, as well as to proposals for improving existing thematic areas and developing new ones within the professional development programme.

The meeting also addressed the continuation of the consultative process with state administration authorities, improvements to the regulatory framework governing the professional development system, and the Academy’s activities in the areas of quality assurance, accreditation of training providers, and strengthening cooperation with domestic and international partners.

It was concluded that the National Academy for Public Administration, in cooperation with the Programme Council and all relevant partners, will continue to develop professional development programmes that respond to the actual needs of employees, thereby contributing to the further strengthening of a professional, competent and modern public administration in the Republic of Serbia.
