During the meeting, the successful cooperation to date between the National Academy for Public Administration and the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality was reviewed, with particular emphasis on the training programmes implemented for public administration employees.
They also discussed plans for 2026, including the expansion of cooperation through the development of new thematic training programmes that will address current challenges in the areas of human rights, gender equality, inclusion of vulnerable social groups, as well as the strengthening of institutional capacities within public administration.
Special emphasis was placed on the professional development of employees in local self-government units in the Republic of Serbia, with the aim of building an efficient, professional and accountable public administration based on the principles of equality and respect for human rights.
The meeting demonstrated a clear need to continue systematically improving the knowledge of public servants, and that the joint activities of the Commissioner and the NAPA in the forthcoming period will be directed exactly towards that goal, through strategic planning and the development of sustainable mechanisms.
